Meadow Update
The Meadow is Alive! It has been about 6 weeks since we first decided to shred an area of lawn and throw some seeds (actually 5 pounds of pure seed) onto the bare Earth. Turns out we are not as crazy as our neighbors think. The meadow is starting to produce the first blooms with what looks like a lot more to come as the seasons change. Look at all those new plants! Baby's Breath is the first to bloom . So far we have only been able to identify a few species. Baby's Breath, Cosmos, and we think some sort of poppy. Hopefully the meadow thrives and attracts more life to our little plot of land. Last night we heard an owl screeching that we have never heard before. It is s good sign to see the top of the good chain return.
